Coronavirus! Mysuru cops book case against Australia returned for flouting quarantine norms

Mysuru: In a first, V V Puram police in the city have booked a case against a person for violating the restrictions of home quarantine.

The person who had arrived in India from Australia on March 22 had been hand sealed at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru. As the person had arrived from Coronavirus affected country, it had been told to be under home quarantine for a period of 14 days till April 06. However the person had been moving in public places against the restrictions of department of health and family welfare. Though the person was fully aware about the chances of spreading the virus by mingling with public.

Police Commissioner Dr Chandragupta has warned of initiating action against those who fail to abide by the restrictions of home quarantine related to Covid- 19.
