Corona Warriors start feeding stray dogs in Mysuru

Mysuru: Corona Warriors a joint initiative of department of information and public relations and other departments has started, feeding stray dogs in the city.

Taking into consideration, the plight of stray dogs that were earlier dependent on generous animal lovers and eateries that have been shut in the wake of lockdown, the DIPR along with labour department and Red Cross Society came out with a new initiative of enrolling volunteers as Corona Warriors to take care of stray animals.

In Mysuru, Niveditha Harini who has enrolled for the task has started feeding the canines. A Chemistry lecturer by profession, she is also a Bharatanatya dancer and Kannadiga to the core.

She has thanked Captain P Manivannan secretary of the departments of labour and information and public relations for the opportunity.

Following a tweet, many have appreciated her new role and advised to use either leaves or plates to feed the dogs.
