Cops denied permission to AAP’s victory rally in Mysuru: Malavika Gubbivani

1 min read

Mysuru: Aam Aadmi Party ( AAP) Mysuru district convener Malavika Gubbivani alleged that the police denied permission for victory rally citing traffic hurdles and disturbance to law and order, while the BJP workers across the country are celebrating without any riders.

Malavika told media persons on Friday “Yesterday when we asked for Police permission for a victory rally, it was denied by them saying that it will disturb traffic movement and create law and order problem, whereas across India, BJP workers are celebrating their victory unhindered. When we tried to take out a “padayatra” near Surya Bakery in Hebbal,  police physically stopped us. Such is the fear in the establishment” she alleged.

According to the notice of denial of permission issued by the office of DCP (Law and Order), AAP wanted to take out a rally from its office in Hebbal using two- wheelers and cars on Thursday at 4 pm. The rally was planned in the wake of party’s possible victory in Punjab  Assembly elections.

However citing law and order and traffic related problems due to two-wheeler and car rally the police denied the permission.
