Cops create awareness against crimes

Mysuru: Following the increase in cases of chain snatching and other robbery cases, the city police have been creating awareness against the crimes.
On Monday, head constable Sadashivappa and constable Madappa attached to K R Police station, in the company of social workers Jogi Manju and Rajesh distributed pamphlets consisting of do’s and don’ts among passersby near vegetable market and JSS Hospital on M G road.
The pamphlets is intended to help people with tips on how to park vehicles at designated spot, ensure the vehicle is locked among several other basic information that will help in taking preventive steps.
If anybody comes across suspicious activities they should inform local police station. If any elderly persons are residing in the neighbourhood the police should be informed about them.
