Convocation at AIMS! CM advises outgoing medicos to maintain professional sanctity

Nagamangala: Chief Minister H D Basavaraj Bommai on Tuesday gave a clarion call to the medicos to maintain sanctity of profession and acquire more knowledge to emerge as the true representatives of God.

Addressing the gathering during the convocation ceremony of Adhichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) at B G Nagar, Bommai lauded the pivotal role of Adhichunchanagiri Mutt in providing education to over one lakh student its various institutions. The Mutt is also involved in health and religious services”.

In his call to students, Bommai said “after graduation the students must increase the dignity of their profession by involving themselves in the selfless service of others”.

Bommai also recalled the foundation laid by the late pontiff of Adhichunchanagiri mutt Dr Sri Balagangadharanatha Swamiji in reaching education and health care to rural areas.

The chief minister also distributed degree certificates to the students.

The chief minister also promised funds to the proposed hitech science museum at Adhichunchanagiri education complex. 

While Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) conferred honorary doctorate on Adhichunchanagiri Mutt Seer Sri Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji.

Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr K Sudhakar, district incharge Minister K Gopalaiah, Sports Minister Narayan Gowda, MLA Suresh Gowda, VC M S Shekar, registrar Subbaraya, principal A T Shivaram, RGUHS VC M K Ramesh, Dr Narendra Pradeep Kumar and Dr Bhagawan were present.
