Mysuru: Arvind Sharma President of Samagra Karnataka Rakshana Vedike has urged the chief minister to consider social workers in the state too as frontline warriors.
In an email, Sharma has requested the chief minister to direct health and family welfare department in this regard.
Referring to the recent orders of the state government to provide Covid vaccine for those in the age group of 18 to 44 years belonging to the category of frontline workers and prioritised group labourers, Sharma has said, however the social workers aren’t included in the list.
Hence, the social workers who will be always in the lead even during medical emergency should also be regarded as ‘Frontline Warriors, Sharma has requested in the mail.
