Congress manifesto released ahead of Karnataka elections

Bengaluru: With a week left for Karnataka Assembly elections on May 10, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) released its manifesto at a hotel here on Tuesday.

The manifesto titled- Sarva Janangada Shantiya Thota (Paradise of peace to all),  comes a day after ruling BJP released its manifesto on Monday.

All India Congress Committee (AICC) President M Mallikarjun Kharge who was the main attraction at the release of the manifesto said “Congress promises what it can do for the welfare of the people.”

The manifesto includes the guarantees announced by Congress like- free 200 units of power for every household, free bus ride for women in KSRTC buses, 10 kg of rice for every person of BPL families to name a few.

Opposition Leader in Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah, former Deputy Chief Minister Dr G Parameshwara the Chairman of Congress Manifesto Committee, AICC General Secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala, KPCC Working President Saleem Ahmed, former minister Rani Satish and other leaders were present at the manifesto release ceremony.
