Congress legislators up ante, add voice to ‘Lekka Kodi’ demand

Mysuru: Congress legislators on Friday launched a tirade against state government accusing it of lack of managing the situation over Covid-19. They also demanded accounts related to Covid expenditure. 

 
Hunsur MLA HP Manjunath and Varuna MLA Dr Yathindra Siddaramaiah demanded the state government to call for emergency Assembly session to discuss issues like Covid management, Land Reforms Act, APMC Ordinance (Amendment) and Labour Act. 
 
Manjunath also alleged that pension is not released since many months. Kajane-1 and Kajane-2 change over is not proper. In Hunsur constituency alone there are 26,950 pensioners, but 12,000 have not switched over to K1 and K2. They are unable to avail pension and such matters should be addressed on emergent basis, he added. 
 
MLC R Dharmasena alleged that “State government is looting public money. The lack of experienced ministers is the impediment in productivity. The chief minister must sack such ministers from the cabinet, he said.
