Congress leaders seeking support of SDPI members to win elections, claims MP Simha

Mysuru: BJP MP Pratap Simha claimed that the Congress is allegedly seeking support from members of SDPI, a political outfit of banned PFI.

Addressing mediapersons here on Saturday, MP Simha came down heavily on Congress leaders Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar and claimed that they are worried about their defeat in this elections. Hence, they have sought support from SDPI members, he alleged. If the Congress comes to power with their support, there would be more attacks on Hindu activists.

He further alleged that when Siddaramaiah was in power Mysuru Raju murder accused PFI activist Abid Pasha was granted bail. As many as 175 criminal cases of 1600 PFI-SDPI activists were allegedly withdrawn, he said. However, considering PFI’s anti-national activities, the Centre has banned the organisation, he added.

Referring to PFI activists’ role in the incidents of murder of Paresh Mestha, Sullia’s Praveen Nettaru and Madikeri’s Rudresh murder, MP Simha appealed to the people to be cautious whom they choose to elect.

On the occasion, BJP candidate for Chamundeshwari constituency, a political novice, Kavish Gowda was present.
