Congress leaders plan grand welcome for Siddaramaiah on October 19

Mysuru: Congress leaders have decided to organise a grand reception to greet former Chief minister Siddaramaiah in the city on October 19.

Siddaramaiah will be visiting the city on that day for the first time after his appointment as opposition leader in the Legislative Assembly. It’s for the second time that Siddaramaiah has been made a leader of the opposition.

In the meeting organised by Mysore City and Rural District Congress Committee held at Indira Gandhi Congress Bhavan in the city, former MLA M K Somashekar appealed to the party workers to mobilise not less than 10,000 people for the rally.

Siddaramaiah will be accompanied by the party workers on two-wheelers during the processsion.

Former MLAs Vasu and M K Somashekar, former MP C H Vijayashankar, ZP Vice- president Gowramma Somashekar, former corporator Shivanna, former ZP president K Marigowda, leader Harish Gowda, Rural Congress president Dr B J Vijaykumar and city president R Murthy were present in the meeting.
