Cobra rescued from Chamundeshwari temple at tempo stand, Russel Viper at JSS Layout

Mysuru: A snake was rescued from a temple at tempo stand off Mysuru- Nanjangud road on Wednesday.

The cobra had coiled behind the portrait of Goddess Chamundeshwari inside a box fixed to a tree at the stand.

The cobra though looked aggressive raising its hood was later rescued with ease by snake rescuer Suryakeerthi.

It was also the first call of the day, said Suryakeerthi. 

On Monday night, a Russel Viper snake was rescued from a house in JSS Layout.

The residents of the house were preparing to sleep at around 11 pm, when they heard a hissing sound.

They spotted a snake in the corner of the hall and informed Suryakeerthi.

According to Suryakeerthi who rescued the snake which may be one-and-a-half months old, this species of reptile is highly venomous.
