CM Yediyurappa hints at stricter lockdown till April 30

Bengaluru: Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on Saturday announced that lockdown in the state will be extended till April 30. The country is already under lockdown till April 14.

Yediyurappa told media persons, it is inevitable to extend the lockdown. However, compared to last 15 days, the restrictions ahead after April 14 will be different. Till now 1,558 FIRs have been registered in the state for violating lockdown norms.

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi who held a videoconference meeting with chief ministers, also directed on similar lines to implement lockdown with strict measures. The guidelines in this regard will be given in the next two days.
