1 min read

Bengaluru: Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on Sunday broke his silence over the ongoing political developments with a section of leaders demanding for change in guard in the State.

Speaking to media persons the chief minister said “Until and unless the high command says, I will continue to be at the helm. The moment they want me to go, I will step down and work for the welfare of the state. I am thankful that the high command has given me the opportunity and I am putting all my efforts to steer the state.”

“I am not in haze,” said Yediyurappa making it clear that he was ready to give up.

Following the the internal bickering that gained momentum especially with one time loyal and incumbent MLC and tourism minister C P Yogeeshwara stoking a controversy by visiting Delhi, the issue of change in leadership surfaced in the state.

It was followed by Yediyurappa’s son and BJP Vice-president B Y Vijayendra’s visit to the capital only to knock on the doors of the high command, on behalf of the former.
