CM Siddaramaiah to appear for Lokayukta probe; heavy security in place

Mysuru: The office of Lokayukta Police, Mysuru Division on Dewan’s road in the city has turned into a virtual fortress.

Police Commissioner Seema Latkar inspected the Lokayukta office on Tuesday, to draw the security plans to put up the barricades around the approach roads, to restrain the crowd from thronging the Lokayukta office.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will be today appearing for the Lokayukta investigation into the case of alleged irregularities in the allocation of sites under 50-50 scheme at Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA), in which his wife B M Parvathi was a beneficiary of 14 sites, till it was returned to MUDA recently.

Siddaramaiah is Accused 1 (A1) in the case, his wife Parvathi A2, brother-in-law B M Mallikarjun Swamy A3 and landowner J Devaraju A4.

It’s for the first time Siddaramaiah is appearing for the inquiry in the case, with the inquiry of other accused completed in the case. 

Siddaramaiah, according to the revised tour programme will arrive in the city at 9.30 am by road from Bengaluru. He will be leaving for Channapatna by road at 12 noon, to participate in the campaign for the by poll to Channapatna Assembly constituency, scheduled to be held November 13.
