CM okays KSCA International level cricket stadium plans in Mysuru: MP Simha

Mysuru: In a major boost to sporting activities in Mysuru, especially cricket, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has given his approval for the plans of Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) to build international level cricket stadium in Mysuru.

Following a memorandum by Mysuru- Kodagu MP Prathap Simha in this regard, chief minister has made a note directing the authorities to present the proposal before the cabinet.

Simha in his memorandum has apprised the chief minister that “following a request by KSCA, Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) has written to the government to allot 15- 20 acres of land identified under open spaces and park at Hanchya- Sathagalli ‘B’ Layout”.

Continuing, the purpose of 2-20 acres of land in Survey Number 106 at Sathagalli village coming under the purview of MUDA should be changed and nearby CA site measuring 16,000 square feet should be immediately allotted to KSCA to build international level cricket stadium, added the memorandum.
