CM holds meeting with writers, promises action against slanderous trolls

Bengaluru: Interacting with writers at his Home Office Krishna, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah – on Tuesday – said that false cases against those who fight for Kannada language, farmers, labourers and writers will be withdrawn. He assured writers that the government will take strict action against slanderous trolls and those who threaten writers and try to create an atmosphere of fear.

There is no compromise on the issue of protecting harmony and the secular image of Karnataka, he said adding hate politics will not be tolerated. More than 40 writers and heads of various organizations attended the meeting.

On the occasion, he emphasized that the government will not allow textbooks to poison children’s minds. As the academic year has started, we will discuss and take action so that the education of the children is not disturbed, he promised.

Stating that the education sector will not be allowed to adulterate in the name of new education policy. A separate meeting will be convened in this regard once again to discuss it comprehensively and take strict and definite decisions.
