CM flags off procession of Utsava Murthy of Goddess Chamundeshwari

Mysuru: The utsava murthy of Goddess Chamundeshwari is being brought in a procession from Chamundi Hill to Mysuru Palace.
The idol of the presiding deity will be the prime attraction as it will be carried in procession in 750-kg Golden Howdah in Jamboo Savari the last leg of Nada Habba Mysuru Dasara.
Earlier Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai took part in the puja, flagging off the journey of the idol from the hill shrine, in an open jeep modified as a silver chariot. The utsava murthy is being taken along with Nadaswara troupe.
The chief minister was accompanied by Cooperation and district incharge Minister S T Somashekar, Mayor Shivakumar, MLAs S A Ramadass and L Nagendra and others.
