Shivamogga: Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa had to face the wrath of flood survivors at Helagatthi village in Thirtahalli taluk in the district on Tuesday.
Yediyurappa who visited the village allegedly took a cursory look, without hearing to the grievances of the survivors who were waiting for him with huge expectations. As Yediyurappa went without hearing them, they started to vent their anguish.
Sujatha a survivor told media ” The chief minister should have spoken to us, at least to console. We have been deprived of proper drinking water and other basic amenities due to flood. The power supply has been restored ahead of the chief minister’s visit’.
Meanwhile, a man identified as Manjunath who was waiting for the chief minister at the village collapsed due to low blood pressure. The doctors accompanying the chief minister revived his condition before shifting him to hospital.
