CM Basavaraj Bommai appeals to pro-Kannada outfits to withdraw Karnataka Bandh call

Hubballi: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Wednesday appealed to pro- Kannada organisations to withdraw their call for Karnataka Bandh on December 31.
Speaking to media, Bommai said “there are many other ways to exert pressure on the government to resolve the demands, mainly to ban Maharashtra Ekikaran Samiti ( MES). Hence, the Kannada organisations should drop their plans for bandh.”
Bommai also reiterated that the government is vetting into the legal aspects over the demand to ban MES.
