Classical study centre in Kannada to start international lecture series on Bhakti from August 2

Mysuru: Centre of Excellence for Studies in Classical Kannada, Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL), Mysuru is starting an international lecture series online from August 2 from Monday to Friday.
The inaugural session is on – Bhakti: Bahu Abhivyakti (Bkakti: Multiple Manifestations) at 3 pm.

CIIL Director Prof Shailendra Mohan will inaugurate the session. Prof P R Dharmesh Fernandes, head, classical languages and Prof B Shivaram Shetty, director ( planning) will be present.
Prof (retired) T S Satyanath, Delhi University, Dr Manu V Mahadevan, IIT, Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, Dr Banjagere Jayaprakash, Prof M G Manjunath Director of Kuvempu Institute of Kannada Studies, University of Mysore and Prof (retired) H S Shivaprakash, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi will speak on various forms of bhakti.
The lecture series will be held from 3.30 pm to 5 pm.
