Civil contractor Santosh Patil’s death! Cops detain Congress leaders during protest rally to CM’s house

Bengaluru: Demanding the arrest of RDPR minister K S Eshwarappa Congress leaders on Thursday made a vain bid to lay siege to the house of Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai in the city.

Opposition leaders led by KPCC President D K Shivakumar, Opposition Leader in Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah, AICC general  secretary and Karnataka incharge Randeep Singh Surjewala, KPCC Campaign Committe chairman M B Patil and KPCC Working President Saleem Ahmed along with the party workers were marching towards the chief minister’s house in RR Nagar, when the Highgrounds police stopped the rallyists on Race Course road.

A chaotic situation prevailed as the Congress leaders tried to force their way through the police barricades. Police detained them and took them to police station.

Following the WhatsApp message containing the death note purportedly written by Patil where he has held RDPR Minister K S Eshwarappa directly responsible for taking the extreme step, the Opposition parties have upped ante demanding the arrest of Eshwarappa.
