City police announce parking restrictions on New Kantharaja Urs road in Mysuru

Mysuru: As New Kantharaja Urs road has turned out to be a commercial hub with the increase in traffic, people are parking their vehicles in a haphazard manner. It is resulting in accidents, creating hurdles in the smooth flow of traffic with vehicles entering from ring road side and vice-versa.

Considering it imperative to bring out restrictions in the interest of public, city police have come out with parking and no parking restrictions on alternate days at three places.

According to a press release from Police Commissioner Dr Chandragupta, on August 30, it is stated that “the two-wheeler vehicles should be parked on the north side of the road from first of the month to 15th from Sharadadevi Nagar bus stop to Vaishnavi Sweet Stall, and south side from 16th to 31st.”

Road in front of MCC Zone-3: South side 30 metres for two-wheels.

Akshaya Super Bazaar to ring road junction: LMV vehicles on the north side of the road.

The stretch of comes under K R traffic station and Saraswatipuram law and order station.
