City badminton players win medals in Goan tournament

Bengaluru: Four players of Yadav Pro Badminton Academy (YBPA) have brought laurels by winning medals in All India Senior National Ranking Tournament 2020 in Goa recently.
The players have won gold in women’s doubles and two bronze in mixed doubles.
Ashwini Bhat and Shika (in picture above) who won against Maneesha and Panda 21-15,13-21 & 21-15 in a long one-and-a-half hour long battle to clinch tge title. It was indeed all the four players who showed extreme sportsmanship in the game.
In semi finals, mixed doubles category our players Ashwini and Saipratheek lost to Krishna Prasad and Panda, Saumya Singh and Chandrakumar lost to Sunjith and Shruthi.
Overall our players did very well in the tournament. All India ranking other three pairs played in quater finals as well, according to Jagadish Yadav of Yadav Pro Badminton Academy, Bengaluru.
