Mysuru: A grand Christmas mass was held at St Philomena’s Church on Tuesday midnight, featuring a mass prayer and the distribution of cakes as part of the holy festivities.

The church is beautifully decorated with lights and a painting of Jesus Christ adorned the campus. Apostilic Administrator of Mysore Diocese, Archbishop Emeritus Bernard Moras led the prayers and conducted a procession with the idol of infant Jesus, accompanied by the cheerful sound of jingle bells, in the midnight.

Hundreds of devotees gathered at St Philomena’s Church to offer prayers in multiple languages. They exchanged Christmas wishes and celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy.

Similarly, midnight prayers to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ were also held at other prominent churches in Mysuru, including the historic St Bartholomew’s Church, CSI Wesley Church and the Syriac Church.
