Hubballi: Children litterateur M D Gogeri passed away at his house in New Ayodhya Nagar in the city on Sunday. He was 81.
A native of Gogeri in Gajendragad in Gokak, Gogeri was a retired teacher. He has to his credit over 30 literary works spanning three decades in Kannada literary world.
He was also known for humour writing published in leading dailies, weekly and monthly magazines.
Besides, Gogeri was also involved in teaching acting and singing methods to students to kindle interest in literature and acting among them.
Jeeva Jenu was his first anthology of poems, followed by Bhava Sangama, Koogutive Kallugalu, Edho Karnataka, Navu Sarva Swatantru, Thaayiya Udiyalli, Chunavanege Nintha, Drakshi Gonchalu and Puttana Parisara to name a few totalling 13 anthology of poems.
Sahebaru Sipayi, Purusha Shoshane Namaskara, Patnityara Sandarshana are his other works.
Ninada Vinoda is his mega work, while his autobiography is titled- Halliyinda Hooballige.
While Radio plays include- Halli Shikshaka, Nikki Eshtu, Yadavattu Ganda Aadamutta Hendati, Bobcut Hendati among others.
