Bengaluru: Sleuths attached to anti-corruption bureau, Bengaluru city, on Saturday arrested two persons including a police inspector while collecting Rs two lakh over a land dispute.
The accused is S R Raghavendra police inspector of Chikkajala police station. Another accused person is also named Raghavendra and he was receiving the amount of Rs two lakh on behalf of the inspector when the ACB personnel trapped them.
Following a complaint from a businessman, the ACB laid the trap.
According to the complainant he had already paid Rs eight lakh of the total Rs 10 lakh as part of the deal.
It was regarding the investigation of a resident of Chikkajala who had trespassed after removing a board installed in the land of the complainant.
