Mysuru: Leader of Opposition in Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah on Wednesday exuded confidence that Congress party will tide over the flood of money power in the by- elections to Legislative Assembly from Sira and R R Nagar constituencies.
Siddaramaiah who came to the city on a two-day visit told media persons that the results will definitely come out in favour of Congress party. “BJP has spent money and challenged Congress, but definitely Congress will gain in both the Assembly segments with the party nominees-TB Jayachandra at Sira and Kusuma at RR Nagar winning the election”.
Saying that the results of by-elections will impact BJP leadership, Siddaramaiah claimed to be having information that there will be a change in guard in the state.
“I am very confident that Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa will be changed, as I have made corruption charges against him. Moreover, the BJP high command is also eagerly looking for alternative leadership” said Siddaramaiah.
Siddaramaiah pointed that in the US presidential elections, Republic Party and Democratic Party are in race. Incumbent President Donald Trump may lose because of his previous blunders. The influence of Narendra Modi will not work in US, Siddaramaiah claimed.
Similarly, in Bihar too there is anti-BJP and Modi wave. The incumbent Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and NDA will definitely lose. Youngsters are throwing onion on NDA leaders, Siddaramaiah added.
