Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa lists his expectations from Mysuru police

Mysuru: Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on Tuesday said “It’s the responsibility of the government to create a fearless society with better law and order system to ensure a peaceful atmosphere to the people”.

Addressing the gathering after inaugurating the new office building of Police Commissioner on Mirza Road, chief minister said ” the role of police is pivotal in maintaining peace in the society. The government expects police in Mysuru to provide a pro-people service with quality, professional, transparent and responsible approach”.

To encourage Mysuru police to deliver better, the government is giving a filip to improve basic infrastructural  facilities with fully equipped police stations and housing facilities, said chief minister.

The government is keen on building housing units for police personnel with modern technology. Similarly 36 houses have been built at Jockey Quarters and 72 at Jyoti Nagar in the city, chief minister said.

Deputy Chief Minister Govind Karjol, Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai, Cooperation and district incharge minister S T Somashekar, DG and IGP Praveen Sood, Police Commissioner Dr Chandragupta were present.
