Chamundeshwari constituency: Police take one into custody for destroying EVM Control Unit at Critical Booth

Mysuru: Police took into custody a man on the charge of destroying the control unit of Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) at a polling both in Chamundeshwari Assembly constituency during the election held on Wednesday.
The accused identified as Shivamurthy entered a Polling Booth- 40 classified as critical booth and all of a sudden he threw the control unit of EVM on the floor damaged it. The polling officials immediately replaced the control unit within 30 minutes and voting continued without disruptions.
