Chamarajanagar police seize 26.8 kg of ganja, arrest one

Chamarajanagar: The district police have busted a ganja cultivation and seized 26.8 kg of ganja. One person has been arrested in the case, while another has made good his escape.

The accused Jade Gowda had grown 134 ganja plants in an agricultural field on the outskirts of Belavatha village. Another accused identified as Madaiah has gone absconding and the policemen have spread a net to nab him.

SP Divya Sara Thomas who appreciated the Chamarajanagar East police station personnel for cracking down on the racket, distributed cash reward to the police personnel.

The police personnel attached to CEN station were also a part of the raid.

Additional SP Anita Haddannavar and others were present.
