Chamarajanagar joins list of Covid-19! Maharashtra returned ‘son-in-law’ tests positive

Chamarajanagar: A week after basking in the glory of being the only district in south India to be free from Covid-19, the district joined the list of districts affected by the pandemic on Tuesday.
Thanks to a man who had came to his in-laws house here from Maharashtra that tops the states with most Covid-19 cases in the country.
Deputy Commissioner M R Ravi confirmed that, “one person who returned from Mumbai, Maharashtra to his in law’s house at Palimadu village in Martalli, Hanur taluk has tested positive. While the reports of other two have come out negative”, he added.
Just a week ago Chamarajanagar celebrated the joy of being ‘Zero Covid District’ in South India.
