Chamarajanagar: Deputy Commissioner M R Ravi on Tuesday described the recent claim of his Mysuru counterpart over helping the district by supplying 250 oxygen cylinders as far from truth.
Deputy commissioner who has issued a press note has succinctly explained that “we didn’t receive any suitable response from the district administration of Mysuru during the emergency requirement at the district hospital.”
Explaining further on the basis of statistics, Ravi has stated that ” On May 3 at 6 am, a total of 70 cylinders were received, including 40 from Mysuru district hospital and 30 from Southern Gas Agency.”
On May 2 around 1.30 pm, LMO plant in the town received 66 cylinders at the last hours, while additional 65 were received from Padaki Oxygen supplying firm at around 6 pm, totalling 131 cylinders. As there was a demand for 100 more cylinders during evening hours, we still couldn’t receive the supplies in time. I spoke to Padaki firm again at 11.45 pm and requested for more supply and 50 additional cylinders were received at about 2.20 AM. So the claim of Mysuru deputy commissioner on supplying 250 cylinders till midnight is far from truth, added the press release.
