Chamaraja MLA pays Rs 3k fine for violating traffic

Mysuru: Chamaraja MLA L Nagendra had to shell out Rs 3,090 to pay as fine after his car was found to have violated traffic.

The legislator’s Innova (KA 09 Z 7999) allegedly violated traffic regulation near Field Marshal Cariappa Circle. He immediately realized it and offered to pay the fine. But the traffic offences fine had accumulated to Rs 7,000. He is reported to have paid Rs 3090, utilizing the State government’s offer of Rs 50 per cut rebate on traffic fine.

Recently the Police department and Karnataka Legal Services Authority offered the general public to pay fifty per cent of traffic violations. The offer will be valid until February 11.
