Celebration of freedom flag with young minds at Adarsha Vidyalaya, Mysuru

Mysuru: All clad in white, green, saffron and blue, beat after beat marching in a unified footstep, the school band woke our patriotic soul. The dais at Government Adarsha Vidyalaya was glimmering with tricolor streamers and the photographs of Mahatma Gandhi and Dr Ambedkar, which stood as a marker of liberty they bestowed on us.
The festive environment was to celebrate our nation’s 75th year of Independence at Adarsha Vidyalaya School, Mysore.
SDMIMD LIFE [Library Initiative For Education] Team celebrated Azadi Ka Amrith Mahotsav with young minds.
Srinivas P Chairman of the School Development and Monitoring Committee (SDMC) was the day’s chief guest and unfurled the tricolor.
SDMIMD faculty members Dr M R Suresh & Dr M V Sunil and the school headmaster D M Satheesh accompanied him.
The patriotic songs, captivating Bharatanatyam performance and thought-provoking speech on the gift of freedom, cultural and talent showcases from the young minds of Adarsha Vidyalaya School marked the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
The institute secured a whopping 53 points at the zonal level sports tournament bagging over 20 medals and the institute a memento for being the best amongst all. The felicitation of the medal winners added colour to the celebration.
The achievement of Ektha M G who scored 100 per cent (100 in all subjects) in SSLC Examination and the other twenty-seven students who secured distinction were felicitated by Dr M R Suresh, Professor of Marketing SDMIMD.
SDMIMD LIFE committee joined hands with the School Management in congratulating the achievers.
Dr Suresh then addressed students with his words of wisdom. In his speech, he highlighted how to harmonize efforts to bring about a change in society. He emphasized the importance of physical fitness and the health of the mind. Inculcating healthy habits and developing a scientific and spiritual attitude contribute to the development of individuals, thus leading to the development of our country and ultimately contributing to society.
The school authorities recalled the contribution of the LIFE Committee in setting up the library for the school and conducting various competitions from the Library. Also, the LIFE members conduct skill development, career orientation, and awareness-building activities for the young minds of Adarsha Vidyalaya School.
