Celebrate festival of light with flood light Kabaddi tournament

Mysuru: A flood light kabaddi tournament has been organised from October 28 to 30 at Kempegowda Stadium, Kumbarakoppal in the city. The tournament is organised as part of Deepavali festival and Mahadeshwara fair.
SVG Group General Secretary Yoganand said on October 25 “The tournament is organised in memory of M Shivakumar. It will be played in two categories- men and women. A total of 24 men’s teams and 16 women’s teams from Mysuru, Mandya, Bengaluru, Davangere, Hubballi, Belagavi, Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts will be participating in the tournament”.
The winner’s will take away Rs 50,000 cash prize, runner-up Rs 25,000 and third place winner Rs 10,000.
The prizes will be distributed during the valedictory on October 30 by Mayor Pushpalatha Jagannath, Mysuru- Kodagu MP Prathap Simha and MLA L Nagendra.
