Cauvery row: Protesters burn TN CM Stalin’s effigy in Ramanagara

Ramanagara: Members of Kannada Janapara Vedike staged a protest against release of Cauvery river water to Tamil Nadu by burning an effigy of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin here on Tuesday.
The angry protesters condemned the Tamil Nadu government’s attitude of demanding more share of Cauvery water at the cost of Karnataka farmers. The protesters warned of intensifying the protest, if the State government continues to release water to Tamil Nadu. They urged the government to file an appeal in the Supreme Court and evolve measures to protect farmers’ interests.
