Car crash lands partially on metal barrier on Bengaluru- Mysuru road

1 min read

Bengaluru: Following heavy rainfall on Bengaluru- Mysuru road, the vehicular users are the worst hit.

It’s common to witness minor accidents with the road surface turning slippery and dimmed view due to foggy weather.

A car rammed into a metal crash barrier near Bidadi. Overspeeding seems to be the cause with the portion of the wheels mounting on the barrier.

However, it is not known about the occupants and casualties if any.

The curious onlookers stop to have a look only to create traffic jam, amid rain that gives no hint of stopping at least for sometime.

With Bengaluru Mysuru Expressway works still ongoing, the road is dug at places, diverting the road to facilitate traffic flow.

There are some junctions where the works have been completed with even metal crash barricades, mesh  barricades installed at places to bifurcate between main carrier and service roads.

Standing water at places add to the trouble with drivers and riders risking to wade through, with the fear of coming across potholes in the surface.

It’s also common to see heavy motor vehicles splashing water only to hear the cuss words from two-wheeler riders.

With weatherman predicting rain for five more days in several parts of the State categorised under Red Alert and Orange alert, people should either take precautions or be cautious while on road especially highways.
