Car crash lands in drain! Two from Bengaluru injured in accident near Mysuru

Mysuru: Two persons suffered injuries when a car veered off the road and landed in a drain near Dandina Maramma temple at Bannimantap on Mysuru- Bengaluru road on Saturday.
The injured persons are a woman and her daughter from Bengaluru, who are admitted at Columbia Asia Hospital. The incident occurred at around 8.30 am, when a family of three hailing from Bengaluru were returning from Nanjangud.
The car hit the metal barrier, before crash landing in the huge drain. The driver is suspected to have lost control on the steering resulting in the accident.
Saraswathipuram fire station officer Nagaraj Urs led team of fire personnel including Nandan, Kiran and Anand team rushed to the spot and succeeded in rescuing the tree in time.
While the man who was at wheels had a miraculous escape, his wife and daughter had sustained injuries.
The car was later lifted with the help of a crane.
N R Traffic police have registered a case.
