Brisk polling for K R Cooperative Bank in city

Mysuru: The elections to Krishnarajendra Cooperative Bank Limited, Agrahara, is being held at Maharaja’s Junior College in the city on Sunday.

The elections to 10 posts of the directors of the bank against total 13 posts has witnessed brisk polling since the election started in the morning hours at 8 am.

Of the total posts, three directors are unanimously elected  and 18 candidates are trying their luck for the remaining posts.

A total of 8,400 members are on the rolls to exercise their franchise in 16 booths set up for the purpose.

Prominent candidates in the fray are sitting vice- president G M Panchakshari, No Siddappa, Kannada activist Thayur Vittalamurthy, former president Parvathamma M, Prathidhwani Prasad, Harish and others.

The voting will conclude at 4 pm and it will be followed by the counting of votes.
