Blood donation a life saving service to the nation: MLC C N Manjegowda

Mysuru: “Blood donation is a life-saving service that contributes to the nation,” said Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) C N Manjegowda.
A mega blood donation camp was jointly organised by Lions Jeevadhara Blood Bank, Rotary Club of Mysuru Srigandha, and Naval Veterans Association Karnataka, at Cauvery Institutions in the city.
Inaugurating the event, MLC Manjegowda emphasized the importance of health and blood donation.
He remarked, “Health is wealth and blood is the lifeline of humanity. Donating blood not only saves lives, but also promotes the donor’s health. Individuals above 18 years are eligible to donate and can make a significant contribution to the society.”
The programme was graced by dignitaries, including Pushpa Gaikwad, Lieutenant Commander Surgeon Srinivas, Major General (Retired) S S Rajan and Naval Veterans Association President Gajanana T. Bhat, along with other officials.
The event saw active participation from NCC cadets and the general public, with over 40 individuals donating blood.
