Blindfolded Mysuru DC tries his hand on playing football

Mysuru: On the occasion of Helen Keller Day, EquiBeing Foundation had organised a programme at Government School for Blind, Tilak Nagar in the city.

The students and teachers were engaged and thoroughly enjoyed the storytelling, treasure hunt and Blind Football game.

Deputy Commissioner Dr K V Rajendra come was happy to blindfold himself and join the football match.

In his address to the students, DC Rajendra urged them to work hard and excel in their careers.

He also stated the need to bring in the right stakeholders and work on project Shashaktikarana, a project in collaboration with EquiBeing Foundation to bring the Government School to it’s full glory and capacity.

Dr Ananthalakshmi, Managing Trustee of EquiBeing Foundation, in her address spoke about the need for all stakeholders in public and private organizations to come together to strengthen education and inclusive sporting opportunities for Children with visual impairment.

She shared her dream of creating world class education Center for the Blind out of Government Blind School, Mysore.

McDonald’s outlet in Mysuru added to the celebration by providing meal for the children.
