Mysuru: BJP state General Secretary and MLC Ravi Kumar on Thursday exuded confidence that the party will win 15-16 MLC seats towards achieving majority in the Legislative Council.
Ravi Kumar was addressing the gathering after inaugurating the Mahashakti Kendra meeting of leaders of 65 wards, ahead of the elections to upper house of State legislature on December 10.
“We need at least 12 seats in the council to establish majority, so that we can easily have a lion’s share in the council. There won’t be any necessity to seek JDS help as the latter is contesting only seven seats,” he said.
Congress being the main opposition party only focuses on opposing all the things. They are all group of unemployed. D K Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah lack real concern over flood victims. Chief minister doesn’t carry money to give compensation. There is a set procedure to follow and our government will surely give adequate compensation to all the flood victims, Ravi Kumar added.
BJP Mysuru City unit President T S Srivatsa, State Vice-president M Rajendra, Sandesh Swamy, Somasunder, Giridhar and others were present.
