BJP leaders should stop insulting Christian community, urges Dhruva

1 min read

Mysuru: Taking a dig at the growing criticism over the proposed statue of Jesus Christ at Kapalibetta in Kanakapura, former Chamarajanagar MP R Dhruvanarayan has asked the BJP leaders to stop insulting Christian community.

Referring to the volley of posers of Mysuru- Kodagu MP Prathap Simha on his Twitter handle flaying the stand of Kanakapura MLA D K Shivakumar, Dhruvanarayan chose to remind Simha that he too has had his early education at a school run by Christian missionary. Simha should not forget the fact. The BJP leaders should learn to respect the particular community.

Being a local MLA Shivakumar has been responding to the demands of the particular community to build the statue. Since independence Christian missionaries have been rendering yeoman services and are into social service in various fields. It seems BJP leaders lack humanity and have been opposing the plan of Shivakumar, said Dhruvanarayan.

H D Kote MLA Anil Chikkamadu, former MLA S Balaraj and Congress leader H A Venkatesh were present.
