BJP leaders launch scathing attack on Congress, list initiatives to address Covid-19 crises

Mysuru: BJP State spokesperson M G Mahesh on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on Congress party leaders in the city for creating a wrong impression in the minds of the people.
Mahesh told media persons, when the Covid-19 pandemic has hit the state, the current dispensation is making all efforts to provide health facilities. So, the government has been inviting gloval tenders to procure at least two crores of Covid vaccine using its own resources of Rs 36,000 crore. However, Congress has developed the attitude of questioning such a pro-people initiative of the government, alleged Mahesh.
While whatever Congress does will be sacrosanct, such is their attitude, chided Mahesh.
Mahesh chose to remind that the previous Congress and JDS governments raised loans only to fulfil their motives. When Congress government led by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah ascended power in the State in 2013, 1.33 lakh crore loan was taken. While JDS government headed by H D Kumaraswamy took a loan of Rs 46,000 crore to waive off farmers loan.
The BJP workers are helping the Covid affected in all the ways by donating plasma to treat Covid patients, food for the attendants at hospitals and also tea for policemen on duty. Besides, the last rites of 28 Covid victims were performed in Chamarajanagar. While the Congress is indulge in making baseless allegations, alleged Mahesh.
BJP General Secretary (City) Somasundar V who took potshots at KPCC spokesperson M Lakshman for his vitriolic attacks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Mysuru- Kodagu MP Prathap Simha, dared Lakshman to contest against Simha in the next elections.
BJP city spokesman M A Mohan, Mahesh Urs and others were present.
