BJP leaders demand stringent action against culprits in Udupi college case

Mysuru: Members of BJP Mahila Morcha along with BJP MLA T S Srivatsa held a protest against the State government not doing anything to punish the culprits here in Mysuru on Thursday.
Addressing protesters, MLA TS Srivatsa said the State is witnessing several crimes, especially against Hindu community members. He said the horrible murder of Jain seer in Belagavi district, alleged murder of Yuva Brigade member in T Narasipura and Udupi college incident has shocked the people of the State.
At a private college in Udupi, girls of one community had allegedly placed mobile phones in washrooms to shoot pictures of girls of another community has taken the State by storm.
The protesters said that the police have not taken action against it so far and even the Home Minister is trying to bury the issue with his childish remarks. They said that the police were forced to act after an activist Rashmi Samanth brought up the issue on social media yet, there has been no arrests so far. They demanded early intervention in this and take stringent action against culprits.
BJP Mahila Morcha president Hema Nandish, Deputy Mayor Dr Roopa, Corporators Prameela Bharat, C Vedavati, Chayadevi, Shanthamma and Sharadamma, General Secretary H G Giridhar and Vanish Kumar, City BJP co-spokesman Cable Mahesh were present.
