Somanna, Simha call on injured BJP worker at hospital

Mysuru: BJP candidate in Varuna Assembly constituency V Somanna and Mysuru- Kodagu MP Prathap Simha called on injured BJP worker Nagesh at JSS Hospital in the city on Friday.
In his complaint to Varuna police, Nagesh’s father K C Manjunatha has alleged ‘My son Nagesh suffered grievous assault injuries at the hands of Siddaramaiah’s nephews and others, while campaigning at Siddaramanahundi, on Thursday at around 8.15 pm. The police who caught hold of the accused and kept them in their custody in jeep for a while, let off them later.’
Nagesh has sustained severe injuries to his right shoulder and leg during the clash.
Somanna enquired about Nagesh’s well-being and offered his support.
With the election nearing on May 10, Varuna Assembly constituency has drawn State wide attention for the high-decibel battle between Congress candidate and Opposition Leader in Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah and Minister Somanna of BJP.
