BJP candidate from South Graduates seat M V Ravishankar seeks Suttur seer’s blessings

Mysuru: Senior BJP leader M V Ravishankar has yet again succeeded in getting ticket for contesting the election to Legislative Council from South Graduates constituency.
Ravishankar had unsuccessfully contested the election in 2016 too.
Ravishankar also sought the blessings of Suttur Seer Sri Shivaratri Deshikendra Swamiji on Saturday.
On Friday BJP released the names of candidates for three graduates constituency.
While Ravishankar’s name has been announced for South Graduates seat, sitting MLC Arun Shahapur for North West Teachers constituency and sitting MLC Hanumanth Nirani from North West Graduates constituency.
BJP state committee and high command has played a balancing act by choosing a mix of candidates with RSS background and wielding enough clout in the organisation.
Former MLC Go Madusudhan and former syndicate member of University of Mysore E C Ningaraj Gowda had strongly lobbied for BJP ticket from South Graduates constituency. But eventually Ravishankar emerged lucky.
