Bizman’s murder! District police crack mystery in 24 hours, arrest two

Mysuru: District police have cracked the murder case of a businessman within 24 hours of its report.
The deceased was Raveesh (36) and the accused arrested in the case are his business partner Tejmal Raika a Rajastan native and his friend Prakash.
This was briefed to the media persons on Saturday by SP R Chethan.
Raveesh a native of Mandya was running three mobile shops and a DTH shop at Hootagalli in Mysuru. Tejmal was his partner. But, in the recent days there was a misunderstanding between them over money and Raveesh was demanding his share of money back.
On June 9, Tejmal who had an ulterior motive to get rid of Raveesh invited him for his birthday party. As planned earlier, Tejmal and his friend Prakash took Raveesh to a vacant site in Adheeshwara Nagar at around 10 pm. After forcing Raveesh to drink booze, the duo hit him with a cricket bat on his head and chin killing him on the spot.
The investigators led by CPI M Mahesh of rural police station who had taken the accused into custody on June 11, succeeded in making them spill the beans. Both the bat and two-wheeler used in the crime were seized, SP added.
The investigation team included PSI H K Nikita, ASI of Yelwal Jagadish, head constable Ravikumar K, constable Dharma M B, personnel Girish, Rajegowda, Ningaraje Gowda, Dileep and drivers Arunesh and Mahadeva Swamy.
The investigation was carried out under the supervision of Additional SP Shivakumar and DySP Dr Sumit A R.
