Bishop K A Williams leads Christmas celebration at St Philomena’s church

Mysuru: Christmas was celebrated at St Philomena’s cathedral in the city at the crack of midnight with Bishop Rev K A William’s leading the rituals on Saturday.

Bishop Williams led the procession carrying the idol of infant Jesus and placed it in a crib erected on the premises of the church.
The crib was specially decorated for the day, with colourful lights.

Carol singing and distribution of sweets among the gathering heralded the arrival of Jesus Christ.
The Covid guidelines were complied with the devotees wearing face mask and adhering to the restrictions laid down in the SOP issued by the state government to check the virus.
