Bike borne youths rob couples on Mysuru – Bengaluru Expressway in Srirangapatna

Mysuru: After a lull, two couples were robbed on near Srirangapatna on Mysuru – Bengaluru Expressway, on Saturday night.
Shivaprasad and his wife Suma of Udupi district, had parked their car near Bharat Bench Company at Naguvanahalli Gate in Srirangapatna taluk during late night hours, when two bike-borne miscreants wielding weapons and covering their face with helmet threatened them, before fleeing with their 30 gram gold chain.
In another incident, Dr Rakshit Reddy and his wife Manasa of Malur in Kolar district, were changing a tyre of their car, which had got punctured near Gowripura in Srirangapatna taluk, when they were robbed in a similar modus operandi.
The couple was robbed at knife point and relieved of 40 gram gold chain.
Mandya SP N Yathish visited both the spots on Sunday.
Srirangapatna police have registered the cases and are investigating.
